Hi, and welcome to my site. I have always loved art but did not get serious about being an artist until my early forties. At that time I went back to school and received degrees in fine art and art history from the University of North Texas.
I am more of a classic painter than a contemporary one. I have always loved the work of the impressionists, and once I started studying art history I fell in love with the city and age in which they painted, Paris in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. While I also love art from the Italian Renaissance, Post Modernism, and Contemporary art, as well as the sculptures from the early Greeks and Romans, it is the Impressionists and their desire to capture modernity in a new way of painting that I am always most drawn to.
