Kari

When I saw Kari sitting like this in a friend’s office that was converted from an old warehouse in Chattanooga Tennessee, I thought of the dark conte crayon sketches by Georges Seurat. The only source of light being the window that is framing her figure. The light bounces off a mirror on the other side of the room and shines on the wall to her right as well as highlighing her face, her necklace, and the word “Love” on her sweater. Graphite on paper. 10 x 12 inches.
