The Fountain, Villa Torlonia

This is a master copy of John Singer Sargent’s “The Fountain, Villa Torlonia” painting. It is of a Fountain in Frascati Italy with his friends and fellow artists Wilfred and Jane Emmet de Glenn posing as the models. This beautiful painting by Sargent was a break from his usual successful portrait painting to a genre scene. With Sargent being my favorite painter I took great pains to capture the colors and style of his amazing work.
